Children’s Manor Montessori Students Bring Patriotic Spirit and Smiles to Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living

Children's Manor Montessori students brought patriotic songs and smiles to Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living, celebrating kindness and community.

Forest Hill, MD – Students from Children’s Manor Montessori School Forest Hill and Children’s Manor Montessori School Bel Air recently shared a meaningful morning with residents at Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care, celebrating community, patriotism, and the power of community connections.

The students visited the nearby Assisted Living community to perform a selection of patriotic songs, filling the room with music, smiles, and heartfelt moments. Residents joined in singing along, clapping, and interacting with the children, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

At Children’s Manor Montessori School, preschool learning extends beyond the classroom. Community service and meaningful relationships are an important part of the Montessori philosophy, helping students develop empathy, confidence, and respect for others while making a positive impact in their local community.

“We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our students to connect with older generations,” said Ms. Amy Barben, CMMS Administrator. “These experiences teach valuable life lessons about kindness, compassion, and service while bringing joy to the residents we visit.”

Stephanie Frank, Recreation Director at Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care  said, “We believe that kindness and compassion can be fostered at any age. We welcome the opportunity to partner with local businesses, like the Children’s Manor Montessori School in Forest Hill and Bel Air. Getting children involved at a young age helps bring vitality and joy back into our residential community. We are very thankful to have had this opportunity.”

The visit is one of many community engagement opportunities Children’s Manor Montessori School provides throughout the year, encouraging students to become thoughtful, caring citizens through hands-on experiences and meaningful service.

Children’s Manor Montessori School thanks the staff and residents of Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care for their warm welcome and looks forward to future visits that continue to strengthen the bond between generations.
