Below is information about our Online Learning Program during COVID-19 Pandemic. This program ended in Summer 2021, but you can find more information about how we adapted our program below.
We offered our Online Learning Program to help nurture preschool, kindergarten and elementary-aged children who remained at home during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our program, based on the same unique Montessori program offered at our school locations, was designed to nurture your child’s social & emotional, cognitive, and academic development from your home environment.
A majority of our online students returned to in-person for summer 2021 and consequently, we are no longer offering this option.
About Our Program
The program, led by our certified Montessori teachers, engages children in the five Montessori learning areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Cultural Studies; while fostering curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. Children are engaged in core subjects like early literacy, reading, writing, language, science, and math while encouraging creativity and development of character skills. Check out our infographic on the benefits of online learning.
Online Learning will be available for Pre-Primary (ages 2-3.5), Primary (ages 3.5-5), Kindergarten and 1st Grade programs.
As a Montessori school approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), our Online Learning Program meets academic and attendance standards for students to be promoted to the next grade at the end of the school year in the state of Maryland. If you are outside of Maryland, please consult with your state’s Department of Education.

Sample Lesson Plan

Our Montessori Links curriculum integrates the five core Montessori learning areas with an interdisciplinary learning experience in Character Development, STEM, Continent Connections, and Author Study & Arts. For each month in the academic year, the Montessori Links curriculum is developed around a Theme and a Continent Study that incorporates work across the five Montessori learning areas. These monthly themes integrate age-appropriate activities and materials into the daily routine, allowing children to interact with complex topics with appropriate interconnectivity and repetition. This prepares children with a more conceptual understanding critical for their future success.

Below is a sample of a week in the month of November for our Primary program.  November is a time we focus on the theme of Gratitude and the continent of North America.

• Listen to compositions by Jesús González Rubio who was a professor of music in Guadalajara, Mexico, and is best known for having composed the Jarabe Tapatío, also known in the United States as the "Mexican Hat Dance"
