Students will develop their coordination skills while participating in various games and activities. Ready, set, move! Let’s play hopscotch and other chalk games to get our minds and bodies moving! For Children 7 & Under

Materials:

• • • Sidewalk chalk
    • Dice

Instructions:

1. 1. 1. 1. Use your chalk to draw squares (hopscotch style) on the ground
         2. Make sure you draw a bigger square at the beginning and end, then label the first square ‘start’ and the final square ‘end’.
         3. Number the squares from 1 up to 10.
         4. Roll your dice and move the number of squares that were rolled.
         5. Continue until you reach the finish line!

For Children 8 & Up

Materials:

• • • Sidewalk chalk
    • Dice

Instructions:

1. 1. Use your chalk to draw a long squiggly pathway on the ground. (See more here).
   2. Draw horizontal lines in the squiggly pathway (about every foot).
   3. Fill each square with a simple math equation like ‘2+2=?’. Alternate between addition, subtraction, or multiplication and division for a challenge.
   4. Roll your dice and move the number of squares that were rolled. Try to solve the math problem. 
   5. Continue until you reach the finish line!
